In Switzerland, SBB Cargo International trains apprentices in collaboration with login and additionally offers one-year internships («BMS Matura»).

As an education partner of SBB, BLS, RhB, VöV and around 50 other Swiss companies, login organises market-oriented vocational training, commercial internships and continuing education. Around 2000 apprentices in 25 professions complete a nationally recognised apprenticeship at login per year.

 

SBB Cargo International also trains train drivers at the highest level in Germany and Italy.

Our Disciplines

Train Driver

Whether from Germany, Italy or the Netherlands: The train drivers ensure that the goods arrive at the customer’s premises on time and reliably.

Dispatcher

Our dispatchers are responsible for the economic use of locomotives and locomotive staff. Furthermore, they ensure the quality of service in case of irregularities and malfunctions.

Proactive customer information as well as the acceptance, checking and recording of incoming transport orders are also part of the job. Our dispatchers are responsible for placing orders with the service provider and monitoring the current files and order data.

Shift Leader

Our shift management staff bears operational responsibility for SBB Cargo International's products. They are responsible for the cross-border overall co-ordination, including our subsidiaries and partner railways, the management of the dispatching centre itself and the volume management of available train paths and resources.

The priorities are implemented in the dispatching centre. All briefings are led by the shift leaders. They have scheduling responsibility for individual SBB Cargo International products.
